Jarret Fire & Rescue proudly serves the community of Von Ormy in southwest Bexar County, Texas. We are a member of Bexar County's Emergency Services District #5 and are an all volunteer fire department. In addition to firefighting, Jarret Fire & Rescue Personnel are cross-trained in numerous specialties such as Emergency Medical Care, Advanced and Basic Vehicle Extrication, Hazardous Materials Mitigation, Weapons of Mass Destruction Response, High/Low-Angle Rescue, Wildland Search and Rescue, Swiftwater Rescue and Confined Space Rescue.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Jarret Volunteer Fire Department to provide for the protection and preservation of life and property of the community of Von Ormy as well as of all Bexar County. The protection of life and property will be accomplished by working to prevent emergencies as well as by responding to a wide range of both natural and man-made exigencies.

"As a member of the Jarret Volunteer Fire Department I solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the duties assigned to me by the Fire Department, and I will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend, the Constitution and Laws of the United States and of the State of Texas, and pledge to faithfully serve and protect the citizens of Von Ormy and Bexar County, So help me God."
